ESTec Supplier Code of Conduct

Dear Suppliers of ESTec Head office and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively called "ESTec"),

To build a sustainable supply chain, our customers have created a code of conduct for business partners and are demanding that they comply with laws and participate in the implementation of corporate social responsibility, and are also encouraging upstream suppliers to participate.

Accordingly, we are participating in our customers' Supplier Code of Conduct, and we enacted the 'ESTec Supplier Code of Conduct' and recommend that our suppliers comply with laws and participate in the implementation of corporate social responsibility.

Based on the code of conduct of 'Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)', which is recognized as a global CSR standard in the electronics industry, the Code was enacted by referring to our customers' code of conduct for business partners, and 'Global Automotive Sustainability Practical Guidance' of 'Drive Sustainability', which is recognized as a global CSR standard in the automotive industry.

The Code requires all ESTec Suppliers to thoroughly comply with the laws and regulations applicable to corporate management activities, and at the same time, to implement its social responsibilities in the areas of 'labor', 'environment', 'safety and health', 'ethics' and 'management system'.

If the behavior recommended in this Code is inconsistent with the law of the country, the law of the country must take precedence.

ESTec or a third-party auditor appointed by ESTec (“Auditor”) may conduct a written or due diligence review to evaluate whether the Supplier is complying with the Code.

If major failures to comply with the Code are not remedied within a timescale set by ESTec, ESTec may suspend or terminate the contract with the Supplier.

ESTec expects its partners to grow together and become companies respected by society by implementing the Code.

ESTec Responsible Minerals Procurement Policy

Conflict Minerals

ESTec acknowledges that in ten African countries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, human rights and environmental protections are insufficiently upheld.
Consequently, we prohibit the use of conflict minerals specifically tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold that are illicitly mined in conflict regions. Furthermore, we have established a fundament al policy to rigorously investigate the presence of conflict minerals in ESTec products, thereby ensuring that only those products which have undergone legally compliant and ethically sound distribution processes are delivered to our customers. In support of this commit m ent, we provide relevant training for our business partners to enhance their awareness of conflict minerals, and we actively conduct assessments of their usage within our supply chain.
To establish an effective framework for the non use of conflict minerals, our supply chain management is founded upon the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict Affected and High Risk Areas. Our business partners are mandated to transact exclusively with smelters c ertified under the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP*), and we have instituted measures to cease dealings in any materials that contain minerals supplied by non RMAP certified smelters.

Responsible minerals

In addition to the aforementioned conflict minerals, ESTec manages other minerals that are illicitly mined in conflict or high-risk regions and are associated with human rights violations or environmental degradation, in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance.
We continuously monitor these pertinent Issues and implement additional responsive measures as required. Through proactive engagement with global mineral issues beyond conflict minerals, ESTec is committed to ensuring that mineral extraction does not become a source of conflict financing but rather is conducted in a manner that respects human rights and the environment while fulfilling our social responsibilities.
